Jarrett Allen has missed the Cleveland Cavaliers last four games with a right eye contusion. Allen is closing in on a return, as Cleveland hopes their starting center can be back for at least one game in a two-game set in Brooklyn next week.
This is the second straight season the Cavs have lost Allen to a late-season injury. Last year, Allen missed Cleveland’s last 18 regular season games, and the Cavaliers first game in the Play-In Tournament. He returned for Cleveland’s second game in the Play-In Tournament, but the Cavs fell to the Atlanta Hawks.
Unlike last season, where Allen’s injury was more serious and the Cavs didn’t have as much depth, Cleveland has held on without their big man. The Cavaliers are 3-1 without Allen during this stretch that he’s been out.
