The shorthanded Cavaliers will look to end their three-game losing streak against Detroit.
The Cleveland Cavaliers will not be getting any reinforcements on Monday when they attempt to end their three-game losing streak against the Detroit Pistons. Dean Wade (knee sprain), Isaac Okoro (right shoulder), and Caris LeVert (right wrist sprain) are all listed as out on the injury report for Monday’s game.
This will be the second game that Wade has missed. Cavs head coach Kenny Atkinson mentioned before Saturday’s game against the Houston Rockets that he wasn’t sure of the extent of Wade’s injury. The injury occurred in the third quarter of Friday’s loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.
This will be the sixth straight game Okoro has missed with his shoulder injury. He initially sustained the injury in mid-December. Okoro attempted to return but wasn’t himself in the five games he played before this recent absence. His shot in particular wasn’t where it was before the injury as he went 3-24 from the field in the games he’s placed since Dec. 16.
LeVert will be missing his fifth game in a row due to the wrist sprain. He hasn’t played since the Cavs win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Jan. 18. The team hasn’t provided a timetable for LeVert’s injury. It’s becoming concerning that he remains sidelined for this long.
Evan Mobley is notably absent from the injury report after making his return to the lineup on Saturday night. That is a bit of good news.
The Cavaliers will look to end their three-game skid on Monday at 7 PM against Detroit.
