Well, it was the event that everyone was talking about and looking forward to come Friday night. Could a 58-year-old ex fighter that used to be a star contend with a young boxer named Jake Paul?
Honestly, everything about the event ended up being so lame and here are all of the reasons why:
Netflix Was Unable To Handle The Viewership
The broadcast kept freezing and fans missed out on various portions of the fight because of the stops and starts of the broadcast. To hype up this event so much and have that happen was not good.
2024 Is The Year But The Quality Of 1984 Television
Same idea with Netflix failing but this was actually viewing the fight yet unable to really see the action clearly due to the bad quality of picture resolution.
No Huge Moments
There were no knockdowns or even really big hits that had people going crazy because of it. Everyone remembers the term “DOWN GOES FRAZIER” or in the Rocky movies with Balboa knocking down Apollo Creed to start the fight. None of that in this one…
Two Minute Rounds Instead Of Three
Of course, since the guy was 58 they tried to make things a little easier for Mr. Tyson. Plus, another disappointing fact was only eight rounds instead of say 12 or 15. That extra minute makes a huge difference in each round and it showed with this fight.
The Actual Start Time Of The Fight
It was advertised as starting at eight but actually didn’t begin until after 11 since there were so many undercards before that literally no one cared about.
The Reality That Comes With This Storyline
Everyone gets old and it especially shows in sports. Unless you are LeBron James who is an insane specimen still chugging along, careers are always meant to end at some point. Tyson is old and it showed in the ring compared to his younger and animated self.
Boxing Isn’t Like Rocky Movies Make It To Be
The movies make the hitting and punching like crazy with sound effects and everything. That’s not how the actual sport is and it’s honestly very bland to watch real fights compared to the movies.
Jake Paul Ended Up Winning
Certain that the vast majority of fans wanted to see Iron Mike knock Jake Paul to the ground and at least win this fight between the two of them. That didn’t happen as Paul won in a unanimous decision.
People Who Bought Netflix Just For This Fight
Pretty much a waste of money for what you got to see. Hopefully, you’ll be able to enjoy the rest of the content on there moving forward. Watch Dexter if you have the time. Best show ever.

Well, we can now move on in life and look forward to the very exciting Browns once again playing this Sunday after the bye week against the New Orleans Saints. They’re 3-7 so this could actually be an opportunity for a win.
