Former Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones had some truly incredible teammates during his days with the Buckeyes. He now has some thoughts on who he might have on an all-time Ohio State offense.
In a feature for CBS Sports, Jones built his all-time offense for the team he once led to a national championship. His quarterback was C.J. Stroud, his running back was Ezekiel Elliott, his tight end was Marcus Baugh and his three wide receivers were Ted Ginn Jr., Garrett Wilson and Michael Thomas.
It’s a strong list as nearly everyone on it was either exceptional, an all-time great, or a teammate of Jones’ that knew well.
Few would argue that Elliott, Wilson and Thomas belong on the list. They rank among the most dynamic players that Buckeyes fans of the past decade-plus have ever seen.

In a follow-up post, Jones did a further breakdown of his decision. He said that he was torn over not having Jeremiah “JJ” Smith and Marvin Harrison Jr. on the list but believes that you “can’t go wrong with legends” or current players.
“Hard not having JJ Smith on here or Marv but for what I like to do for on offense, I think these guys are best fit. So many great players played at OSU, it’s really hard to pick 1-3 for each position to build a dream offense. Can’t go wrong with legends or current bucks! #GoBucks,” Jones wrote.
Of the six players that Jones chose, three of them have gone on to make at least one Pro Bowl and two have won NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.
Fans in the comments have naturally weighed in on who they think belongs on the list, with alternative choices ranging from Terrell Pryor and Troy Smith at quarterback to Cris Carter and Joey Galloway on defense.
Who would you have on your all-time Buckeyes ranking?
