You ask, we answer. Sometimes we ask, others answer. And then other times, we ask, we answer.
Throughout the year, we will be asking and answering questions about various Ohio State teams, the players, and anything else on our collective minds of varying degrees of importance. If you have a question that you would like to ask, you can tweet us @LandGrant33 or if you need more than 280 characters, send an email HERE.
Ohio State’s Spring Game — yes, we are back to calling it a spring game — is this weekend, so in our latest fan survey, we are focusing all of our efforts on the future. We have two questions, one about what you think happens between now and the start of the season this fall, and then another about what you think we will all be feeling following the scrimmage on Saturday.
Check out both of the questions, then answer them in the survey below. If the options we provided don’t line up with what you are thinking, or you want to expound on your selection, feel free to hit up the comments at the bottom of the page.
Question 1: Who wins Ohio State’s quarterback battle?
Over the last week, we have heard Ryan Day, Brian Hartline, and other various Buckeye coaches talk about how the quarterback battle is still neck-and-neck between Lincoln Kienholz and Julian Sayin. Most people assumed that Sayin — the former highly recruited prospect who transferred from Alabama just a few months after enrolling — would be the heir apparent to Will Howard, but it appears that the athletic, multi-sport veteran from South Dakota is making things interesting.
So, what do you think, does Kienholz find a way to eventually win the job come fall, or does the young talent of Sayin win the day? Or does true freshman Tavein St. Clair stake his claim to the starting job in his first year on campus? Or does walk-on Mason Maggs shock the world to take the QB job away from all of the scholarship guys?
Of course, there is also the possibility that Day and company aren’t satisfied with any of the options following spring practice and decide to bring someone else in via the portal. Either way, let us know what you think happens in the survey below.
Question 2: Which position group will be the most pleasantly surprising in the Spring Game?
With the spring game this weekend, we want to know which position group is going to be the most surprising… in a good way. With all of the turnover that the team experienced following the national championship run, there will be a lot of new faces taking meaningful snaps this season, so hopefully, we will get a good glimpse of what the future holds for the Buckeyes in Ohio Stadium this weekend.
