Fans around the country continue to marvel at the talents of Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith.
The true freshman made some ridiculous catches in last night’s game vs. Michigan State — including two one-handed grabs on the same drive.
Smith closed out the Bucks’ last possession of the half in style by taking the second one into the endzone. Which caught the attention of NBA superstar (and OSU superfan) LeBron James.
“JEREMIAH SMITH!!!! MAN KNOCK IT OFF!!!! MY GOODNESS,” the King posted to X. “O-H..”
Smith finished the game with five catches for 83 yards and two scores (one via the ground) on the way to a 38-7 rout of the Spartans.
After the win, Smith talked about his big plays. Telling NBC Sports: “I got to make my quarterback look good. If I have a ball come at me, that ball is mine. There’s no 50-50 balls with me. I feel like every ball is mine. I’ll come up with it.”
Teammate Emeka Egbuka also talked about Smith’s ability to make plays so early into his career.
“He has all the intangibles that you want in a prototypical receiver,” Egbuka said.
An argument can be made that Smith and Alabama’s Ryan Williams are already two of the best receivers in college football as teenagers.
On the season Smith has 19 catches for 364 yards and six total touchdowns.
