Alabama and Ohio State are known for having some pretty epic matchups on the football field over the years. But the Crimson Tide and the Buckeyes faced off on the baseball field on Sunday afternoon. And it was pretty epic, too.
The Crimson Tide and the Buckeyes met in the Jacksonville College Baseball Classic in Florida on Sunday.
Ohio State raced out to a 10-0 lead. The Buckeyes, who are hoping to contend in the Big Ten Conference this year, exploded for seven runs in the top half of the fourth inning. Alabama had come into the game as a favorite, going 7-0 to start the year.
But Alabama had a big comeback on the way.
The Crimson Tide ended up scoring 12 unanswered runs, winning on an epic three-run walkoff blast.

Alabama’s players seemed to be in a pretty great mood following the game on Sunday afternoon.
A social media post, featuring some Alabama baseball players flipping off the camera, is going viral on social media on Sunday evening following the big game.
“A SAVAGE Snapchat from the Alabama baseball team after taking down Ohio State,” SEC Unfiltered shared on social media on Sunday evening.

The NCAA had more on the big comeback:
In the ninth, Alabama ended the scoring exactly how it started it. The Crimson Tide’s fourth inning consisted of a groundout, two walks and three-run home run. The final inning began with a Lebron groundout and back-to-back walks.
Ohio State turned to righthander Nik Copenhaver to stop the bleeding, but it only worsened. Hodo, the first and only batter Copenhaver faced, blasted Alabama’s third home run of the afternoon on the fifth pitch of the at bat to right-center — the same spot as Lebron’s two homers.
The walk-off win moved the Crimson Tide to 8-0, while Ohio State fell to 1-5.
Congrats to Alabama on the big win – the Crimson Tide players might want to stay off social media following big games, though.
