Maurice Clarett had a fascinating tweet about the NIL landscape when it comes to college football on Saturday.
Clarett tweeted about how every college athlete should take advantage of what it has to offer now. He surely would’ve if it existed back when he played.

Clarett helped lead the Ohio State Buckeyes to a national championship back in 2002 as a freshman. He finished the season with 1,237 yards and 16 touchdowns off 222 carries.
Clarett also caught 12 passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns during that season.
NIL has really changed college football in the last couple of years as it’s a big reason why players transfer to other schools. It’s only going to continue as more and more programs fund money to players for select deals.
After that 2002 season, Clarett didn’t play in the NFL, despite being a third-round pick by the Denver Broncos in the 2005 NFL Draft. He would’ve made a ton of money as a college football player if he was able to.
