The officiating crew during Saturday’s Nebraska-Ohio State cost Nebraska an east first down.
Nebraska clearly had a first down on a running play and the officiating crew somehow ruled him short. The play wasn’t reviewed and it forced the Cornhuskers to burn their last timeout of the first half.
This was NOT ruled a 1st down for Nebraska…
The play was NOT reviewed.
The clock did NOT stop and the Huskers had to burn their final timeout of the half.

College football fans can’t believe that this call was missed.
“When an official misses a call so badly — not giving Nebraska a first down on Johnson’s run — you can’t help but wonder if there’s some sort of foul play going on. It’s really an egregious miss,” one tweet read.
“Big Ten officiating continues to impress. This was not called a first down for Nebraska,” another tweet read.
“Refs just completely screwed Nebraska by not calling that a clear first down,” another fan tweeted.
“Awful job by the refs in this Ohio State Nebraska game this last minute. Didn’t give Nebraska a clear first down and now awful offensive pass interference call,” another fan tweeted.
Saturday’s game has lived up to the hype & then some. The Buckeyes have a 21-17 lead late in the fourth quarter and are trying to win their eighth-straight game against the Cornhuskers.
