The Buckeyes made the NCAA Tournament just two seasons ago, but Holtmann fell into tricky waters after going 16-19 last year and 5-15 in Big Ten play. The team has a 14-11 record this year and a measly 4-10 record in the conference.
Holtmann concludes his tenure with four NCAA Tournament appearances in seven seasons, though Ohio State did not make it out of the first weekend once.
The Buckeyes host No. 2 Purdue on Sunday.
