Last summer, Chris Henry Jr. committed to Ohio State. Although he continues to rave about Ryan Day’s program, he’s not ready to completely wrap up his recruitment.
According to Sam Spiegelman of Rivals, Henry has visits lined up with LSU and Oregon this summer.
LSU and Oregon usually recruit at an incredibly high level, so it makes sense that these two teams have interest in Henry. After all, we’re talking about a game-changing player.
Henry, a five-star wide receiver from Mater Dei, is considered the No. 1 recruit in the class of 2026, per 247Sports’ Composite rankings. He has already received 33 scholarship offers.
In order for LSU or Oregon to flip Henry’s commitment, they’ll need to have quite the recruiting pitch. Earlier this year, he said Ohio State has “everything I want.”
Henry also raved about Ohio State’s ability to develop wide receivers. Over the years, we’ve seen the school product NFL players like Chris Olave, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Garrett Wilson and Marvin Harrison Jr. just to name a few.
“It honestly played a big role because I see what they’re doing now and I like how they develop their receivers over there,” Henry said, via ESPN.
Only time will tell if Henry stays committed to the Buckeyes.
