Ohio State fans are gearing up for this weekend’s showdown with No. 5 Indiana, set for noon ET Saturday.
The kickoff time for the matchup between the nation’s No. 2 and No. 5 teams is an early one because FOX made the game its weekly “Big Noon Kickoff,” much to the chagrin of Buckeye supporters who were hoping for a primetime, or at least late afternoon start time.
More than a few angry OSU fans took to social media this week, calling for a boycott of the “Big Noon Kickoff” pregame show, which will broadcast from campus Saturday while ESPN’s College GameDay will do the same.
We could do this but @joelklatt and fox have ruined college football with Big Noon https://t.co/0ofzRiHZLb

“Attention OSU fan, boycott the Big noon tailgate,” one fan wrote.
“Everyone I know is planning on going to @CollegeGameDay #boycottbignoon,” a second fan added.
“And boycott Fox Big Noon. If not wasnt for them, this would be a night game,” a third fan said.
“We do not want you here! #BoycottBigNoon,” chimed in a fourth fan.
“BTN was a good show today. I’m over Fox and the Big Noon garbage. Boycott that next week,” a fifth fan said over the weekend.
This isn’t the first time this season that a Big Ten fanbase has taken exception to being put on “Big Noon” for a pivotal game. Penn State fans were unhappy with their noon start time for their matchup with Ohio State in Happy Valley earlier this month, won by the Buckeyes 20-13.
Whoever wins Saturday’s game will likely clinch a berth in the Big Ten Championship Game, where they’ll face Oregon, who is undefeated and has already clinched a spot. The Ducks are currently the No. 1 team in both major polls as well as the College Football Playoff rankings.
Meanwhile, Ohio State is No. 2 in the CFP top 25 with Indiana sitting fifth. The Buckeyes and Hoosiers are the fifth and seventh seeds in the bracket, respectively.
