Ohio State is selling tickets for preseason practices and the prices are a little bit much.
The school is selling preseason practice tickets for $50 a ticket. Fans aren’t happy about it since they don’t want to pay that much money just to watch the team practice for a day.
“Hate this. The desire to monetize everything is gonna ruin this stuff in time. And nobody cares because they can’t be the ones to stop when others are doing it. Free practices with my dad is how I was hooked. Kids will attach to other stuff,” one fan tweeted.
“As someone who has been to hundreds of football practices if you pay $50 to go to one you have issues,” another fan tweeted.
“This is what happens when you break the bank in the offseason because you’re tired of losing to your rival,” another tweet read.
“The last open practice I went to I kept getting distracted by a group of kids that were there losing their minds at every play. One of the cool moments you get to see when teams open up that up close access. Programs should do it more. Do it for free. And make it even more fun,” another fan tweeted.
“I’m begging college programs, stop being weird,” another fan tweeted.
After seeing some of these reactions, we’ll see if the Buckeyes change course.
