Ohio State quarterback Will Howard led the team to a 21-17 victory over the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday afternoon.
He finished the game 13-of-16 passing for 221 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. He also added 14 yards on the ground as the team improved to 6-1 with the win.
“It wasn’t perfect, but a win’s a win,” Howard said after the game. “And we were able to show that when the going gets tough, and when maybe things aren’t going our way, we’re able to win in the fourth quarter. I think our defense did an unbelievable job of getting some stops, making some really big plays in that fourth quarter and getting us a chance to go down there and put that last one in and give us the lead.”
But that wasn’t his only post-game comment.
After finding a win over Nebraska, Howard took aim at Ohio State’s next opponent: Penn State.
“Stoked, stoked, I cannot wait,” Howard said when asked about the Buckeyes’ next foe. “It’s gonna be a homecoming for me. Grew up a Penn State fan, I wanted to go there my whole life, they didn’t think I was good enough, but I guess we’ll see next week if I was.”

The Buckeyes clearly on to Penn State.

The Buckeyes enter their contest against Penn State as the No. 4 team in the country. Should Penn State win against Wisconsin on Saturday night, it will likely be a matchup of No. 3 vs. No. 4 with College Football Playoff hopes on the line.
Howard is clearly ready.
