Zed Key — who played forward at Ohio State for four seasons –has committed to the Dayton Flyers as a graduate transfer. Key announced the move on X.com.
The 6-foot-8, 230-pound forward from Long Island Lutheran (NY), averaged 6.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per game for Ohio State last season. In four total years as a Buckeye, Key has averaged 7.4 points and 5.0 rebounds in 17.5 minutes per game. He’s also shot 55.3 percent from the field over four seasons.
Key is the first player from Ohio State’s roster last season to leave via the portal and the first commit for Dayton this portal cycle. Two other Dayton players are in the portal in power forward Petras Padegimas and point guard Kobe Elvis.
