Ohio State faces some sky-high expectations for the 2024 college football season.
The Buckeyes have almost everyone coming back from last year as they’re all-in on trying to win this season’s national title.
To Bruce Feldman, this season is “national title or bust” for the Buckeyes with how much they’ve invested for this year.
“I hate to say it like this, but I feel like it is national championship or bust for them,” Feldman said, (first transcribed by Athlon Sports). “You know people forget they came within a field goal of probably winning the national title (when playing the CFP semifinal against Georgia). I mean, they were up by double digits. Stroud played great and played like what he’s doing in the NFL. And then Marvin Harrison Jr. gets knocked out of the game.”
The Buckeyes don’t have many questions at top positions for next season outside of quarterback. They have a competition right now to see who will be the starter at the beginning of the season.
Whoever wins that race will be tasked with leading the offense, which is full of several top playmakers.
The Buckeyes will open their season against the Akron Zips on August 31.
