Xandra Pohl is fired up about Ohio State winning the College Football Playoff National Championship.
Pohl, 24, who earned the nickname “The Next Kate Upton” following her appearances in the 2024 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show, made the trip to Atlanta last night to watch the Buckeyes beat Notre Dame 34-23 to capture their first national championship in 10 years. While she’s a University of Miami alum, Pohl comes from a family of OSU supporters.
She posted several pieces of content with her family from Mercedes-Benz Stadium during and after the game. On Tuesday afternoon, the blonde DJ/influencer shared another video on Instagram of herself singing and dancing to Gracie Abrams’ “That’s So True” while wearing Ohio State gear.
“just because we are national champs,” Pohl wrote in the caption for the video, which was filmed on the OSU campus.
Prior to last night, the last Ohio State game Pohl attended was the regular season finale loss to Michigan, the lowest moment of the year.
However, that game also served as the catalyst for the team’s outstanding CFP run.
“I think in that moment that kind of gave us a little spark,” Ohio State running back Quinshon Judkins said. “Like, definitely, I would say it made us want to go harder, man, and realize, OK, like that was super disrespectful. I think it made a lot of guys wake up in that moment.”
Just like the 2024 season was good to the Buckeyes, the year as a whole treated Pohl well.
Not only did the Cincinnati native accomplish so much as a model and DJ, she also cracked Forbes “30 Under 30” list.
“goodbye to the craziest year of my life… we have had so many ups and so many downs but I couldn’t be more proud and thankful that you guys came along on this journey with me,” she wrote in an Instagram post last month. “From becoming a sports illustrated rookie, getting my first magazine cover, accomplishing Forbes 30 under 30, getting rid of toxic relationships, finishing two tours, two singles, traveling all over the world, and meeting so many amazing people along the way … I can’t believe we did it all. This has truly been the biggest year of growth for me and I can’t wait to bring it into 2025 🤍.”
So far, it looks like 2025 is off to a good start. After ringing in the new year in Aspen, Pohl watched her favorite team win the national championship.
Not bad.
