Tonight is the College Football Playoff Championship Game between Notre Dame and Ohio State from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
The matchup features two of the sport’s biggest brands, making for potentially massive television ratings. It also means that any fans looking to attend the game are going to have to be willing to cough up some serious money. We’re hoping there aren’t many people looking to scoop up last-minute tickets, because the prices have gone through the roof over the last few days.
On Monday afternoon, Cllct’s Darren Rovell detailed just how expensive it will be to buy two seats to tonight’s showdown.
“Fans who waited until the last minute to buy National Title game tickets are on the ropes,” Rovell said. “Here is the current ticket market with fees for the game tonight on Ticketmaster resale. The price has nearly doubled from where it was a week ago.”
As Rovell showed, the lowest price for two tickets to the game is a shade over $3,300 for each seat, with fees.

It’s not just Ticketmaster either. On StubHub, you’re looking at $3,725 per seat, while on Gametime, the price is $3,800.
If you’re planning on watching from home, or somewhere other than the actual stadium, the College Football Playoff Championship Game between Ohio State and Notre Dame will kick off just after 7:30 p.m. ET tonight on ESPN.
This game will decide the first champion of the 12-team Playoff era, which is significant because under the old four-team format, it’s possible that one or neither of these teams would have qualified.
Both the Fighting Irish and Buckeyes shook off adversity and bad losses during the season. Notre Dame was shocked by Northern Illinois in Week 2, but hasn’t lost since.
Meanwhile, Ohio State dropped a heartbreaker at Oregon and was stunned by rival Michigan in the regular season finale. Since that loss to the Wolverines, the Buckeyes have looked borderline unbeatable in playoff wins over Tennessee, Oregon and Texas.
Ohio State is aiming for its first national championship since the 2014 season, while Notre Dame last won it all in 1988.
