Sigh of relief
The Guardians and left fielder Steven Kwan have settled at $4.175 million to avoid arbitration, according to Ari Alexander on Twitter:

This comes in slightly under the $4.3 million projected by MLB Trade Rumors.
Kwan was the starting left fielder in the All-Star game for the AL in 2024 and won his second gold glove while putting up a 131 wRC+ and following it up with a 158 wRC+ in the playoffs. He is the preeminent leadoff hitter in MLB.
I am not sure why it took almost two hours for this to come out, but I am just pleased that the Gold Glove leadoff hitter for the Guardians won’t be going through an inevitably contentious hearing process with the team.
