Baseball’s experimentation with an automated balls and strikes challenge system is finally coming to MLB games. In spring training.
13 stadiums will have it, covering over 60% of games.
Goodyear Ballpark is one of the 13 where the system will be in use.
“The league says a challenge takes about 17 seconds to complete.” — which is approximately 200 seconds less than the NFL’s 2024 preseason experiments with automated first down lines took.
