The Guardians lost to the Brewers yesterday. Here’s a recap. Jhonkensy Noel hit three balls over 111 mph yesterday, though. And Luis Ortiz lowered his Spring ERA from 40.50 by a good bit.
Zack Meisel of the Athletic offered his second Guardians’ roster projection. No surprises. He also chose Koby Allard as the temporary Erik Sabrowski replacement.
MLB Pipeline released their top 30 Guardians’ prospect list. They have nine 50 future value grade prospects listed: 1. Bazzana, 2. DeLauter, 3. Chourio, 5. Genao, 5. Velazquez, 6. Francisca, 7. Ingle, 8. Kayfus, and 9. Doughty. Seemed like a solid list, but they’re probably still a little high on Daniel Espino given the distinct possibility that he may never throw another pitch. But, who isn’t?
Paul Hoynes wrote about Doug Nikhazy and how he has opened eyes this Spring. Our Matt Seese offered some great analysis of Nikhazy as well here.
Gavin Williams will take his second spin through the Spring Training rotation today at 3:05PM EST. Enjoy today because we have a rare Spring Training off-day coming up tomorrow.
