The Cleveland Guardians were officially swept by the San Diego Padres who are off to a hot start. A defensive miscue extended the 3rd inning and Ben Lively paid for it. The Guardians lost 2-4. Read the full recap here.
The AL Central is already shaping up for a tight race. It is currently in a 5-way tie with every team holding a 2-4 record.

A’s CF Esteury Ruiz will be heading to the Dodgers.
There were a couple of extensions around the league today as well:
The Boston Red Sox signed 2B Kristian Campbell to a eight-year, $60 million extension with two club options. Campbell is 22.
The San Diego Padres locked up CF Jackson Merrill to a nine-year, $135 million extension.
That Kwan extension is coming any day now. Right?
