The Guardians hit three home runs and scored 14 runs to beat the Angels yesterday. Paul Hoynes had a fun recap in which Ben Lively calls Scott Kingery “a pipsqueak”.
Here’s a Steven Kwan homer:
And here are the Joe Lampe and CJ Kayfus homers (sorry, only link I could find was on Twitter):
So nice they had to do it twice

Some folks pointed out I was a bit unfair to Juan Brito in yesterday’s recap as he hit a ball hard but it got caught and got eaten up by a bad-hop, hard-hit grounder. Fair enough. I am a Brito Truther so I’ll always be willing to extend grace to him on his quest to be the second baseman.
I’m excited to see Joey Cantillo pitch today against the Diamondbacks and see if Chase DeLauter can get in a game or not.
The Athletic’s Zack Meisel published a guide to the Guardians’ starting pitching options.
The Cardinals may still be open to trading Erick Fedde and I’d love for the Guardians to pursue that.
