World Series News
It was definitely hard to top the thriller that was played Friday night, but the Yankees sure tried to return the favor in the 9th inning of game 2 last night. The Yanks tried to come back and had a huge chance to at least tie the game with the bases loaded and less than 2 outs, but that was all for naught, as New York stranded the runners against Blake Treinen and Alex Vesia.
Freddie Freeman homered yet again, and is proving to be the hero in the early stages of this series. So far, he is 3-9 with 5 ribbies and 2 bombs.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto was magnificent as well, going 6.1 innings and only allowing 3 baserunners.
One thing to watch is that Shohei Ohtani injured his shoulder while trying to steal a base, and had to undergo testing for what it may be.
