Morning N&N for October 23
No, a Fry doctor is not something you call in after a gross man gets too close to the fries. In fact, this Fry doctor has a name, and it’s Keith Meister.
Some bad news: Meister does a boatload of Tommy John surgeries. But ignore that I mentioned that (for now) because I am jumping to the worst outcome.

As you’ll notice that tweet ended on a positive note. Hopefully “some” means that Shane Bieber is about to sign an extension with the Guardians. Same for Boyd. No comment on the other two.
Somebody who will not be back is Rob Cerfolio, who has been hired by the Cardinals.

Fangraphs graded Vogt’s performance in the postseason.
If the Guardians are looking for more pitching than just Bieber and Boyd (they should be), Japanese lefty Shinnosuke Ogasawara is going to be available. One comparison to Shota Imanaga is all I needed in order to have my ears perk up.
