Cleveland Guardians minor league recap for Sunday, March 29, 2025
Columbus Clippers 7, Toledo Mud Hens 6
Box Score · Clippers improve to 2-0
Columbus did all of its damage in one big inning Saturday, stringing together seven runs in the top of the third frame, which was just enough to pull out a 7-6 victory over the Toledo Mud Hens.
The frame opened when Christian Cairo reached on an error and Dayan Frias walked. They moved to second and third after a wild pitch from Matt Manning and an RBI single from veteran Kyle Datres put the Clippers on the scoreboard.
Will Brennan then followed with an RBI single to score Frias and a walk to Juan Brito loaded the bases for Angel Martinez, who smoked a two-run double.

Catcher Dom Nunez then brought the house down with a three-run home run to close out the scoring.
Frias finished the day 1-for3 with a walk while Petey Halpin also reached base safely, going 1-for-3 with a walk.
Starting pitcher Ryan Webb was rock solid, allowing one run on one hit in 4.0 innings with a pair of strikeouts and three walks.
Zach Jacobs, Tanner Burns and Jack Leftwich all allowed at least one run out of the bullpen and Andrew Misiaszek picked up a save by getting the game’s final out (although he allowed an inherited runner to score beforehand).
