The Guardians outlasted the Mariners 9-8. Here are some takeaways:
– Parker Messick looked good, three innings, four hits and five strikeouts.

-Multiple hit games for Jaison Chourio (3 for 4), Cooper Ingle (2 for 3) and Angel Genao (2 for 4). Genao also flashed a rocket arm at short.
-Ralphy Velazquez had a hit and a walk and delightful in-game interview.
-Alfonsin Rosario and Welbyn Francisca each had doubles, and Alex Mooney had a triple.
-Matt Wilkinson had four strikeouts but also gave up three runs in two and a third innings. Austin Peterson gave up a meatball homer but also struck out three in one and two-thirds. He looks like he has five pitches which is exciting.
-Every time I watch Jackson Humphries, he is excruciating. That held true tonight.
Overall, this is a very exciting group of young hitters. The Guardians would appear to have bright days ahead.
